If you ask anybody who knows me, they will tell you that I am a quiet person. This might seem quite ironic when you think that I created a website called LoudMom.com, but there’s a good reason for this.
While LoudMom.com is not a site about noise or volume – it is about finding and developing your voice. LoudMom.com is all about advocacy – to speak up about things that matter to both you and your kids. Our world has a number of problems – and children often get lost in the shuffle. If you’re concerned about education, health care, political issues, and everything else that’s a growing problem in our society – being quiet about it isn’t going to help anyone. As parents, it is our job to be an advocate for speaking up and calling for a change. Our kids deserve it.
I hope this site inspires you to make a change in your life for the better and to not be afraid to challenge everything you’ve ever known for the sake of giving your child the best life possible. We CAN have good health care, education, a safe, peaceful world to live in and a bright future for our kids – but as parents we need to start speaking up about how we feel about things. We need to find real solutions instead of arguing all the time about what’s really wrong or right.
This site details my own personal journey in taking a stand about what’s best for my kids. It’s about instead of following everybody else, doing your own thing. You can learn more about My Story here and of course I am always eager to hear yours as well.
